Reshuffling in Punjab Postal Circle

Mr. Bishan Singh, SSPOs Jalandhar ordered to move to Chandigarh Division, thereby making way for Mr. B.R.Nanajagi, Karnatka Circle a new JTS officer alloted to Punjab Circle. 

Mr. T.D.Sharma (Officiating) SSPOs Amritsar has been replaced vice versa with Mr B.C.Sharma (Officiating) SSPOs Patiala.

Mr P.D.Singh Thakur, SP(HQ) Chandigarh has been ordered to work as (Officiating) Asstt Postmaster General (Staff) Circle Office.

Mr Gopal Krishan Sharma, Postmaster Ropar promoted to Gr 'B' on adhoc basis and posted as Sr Postmaster Patiala.

EXPECTED D.A FROM JULY 2013 MAY BE 89% TO 90%

AI CPI-IW for March at 224, DA from July 2013 to be 89% or more

Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment have announced the the All-India CPI-IW for the month of March, 2013 which rose by 1 point and now stands at 224. On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 0.45 per cent between February and March compared with 1.01 per cent between the same two months a year ago.

Last two months had  seen a 2 point growth in the index. With this, the Dearness allowance which is calculated based on the CPI-IW is likely to be 89% plus from July 2013. The index for the months of April, May and June has has to be available, for exact calculation. However even on assuming zero growth in the index, the worst case, the DA will be 89% from July 2013.

The largest upward contribution to the change in current index came from Food group which increased by 0.84 per cent, contributing 0.82 percentage points to the total change. This was followed by Miscellaneous group with 0.53 per cent increase contributing 0.26 percentage points to the change. At item level, largest upward pressure came from Rice, Wheat & Wheat Atta, FishFresh, Goat Meat, Vegetable Green & non-Leafy, Apple, Tea (Readymade), Firewood, Medicine (Allopathic), Private Tuition Fee, Bus Fare, Petrol, etc. However, this was compensated by Mustard Oil, Eggs (Hen), Poultry (Chicken), Onion, Potato and Sugar putting downward pressure on the index.

The year-on-year inflation measured by monthly CPI-IW stood at 11.44 per cent for February, 2013 as compared to 12.06 per cent for the previous month and 8.65 per cent during the corresponding month of the previous year. Similarly, the Food inflation stood at 13.21 per cent against 14.98 per cent of the previous month and 8.16 per cent during the corresponding month of the previous year.

BD Meet & Prize Distribution Function Held at Jalandhar Cantt HO on 05-05-2013

BD Meet and Prize Distribution function was held at Jalandhar Cantt HO on 05-05-2013. The targets achieved during the last financial year has been reviewed and discussed. All SPMs of Jalandhar Postal Division attended the meeting. The meeting was presided by Sh.Bishan Singh SSPOs Jalandhar Division. The policies relating to the Department and Targets in BD, SB, PLI and RPLI for the current financial year has also been discussed. The meeting was also addressed by Sh. K.P.Meena ASP HQ, Sh.Harbans Lal, ASP Central, Sh.Tejinder Pal Singh, IP Nawanshahr, Ms. Priyanka Sharma IP South, Sh.Vikas Sharma, ASRM I Division Jalandhar and Sh. Anudeep Sharma, System Manager RMS I Division Jalandhar.  SPMs also put forward their problems and grievances to worthy SSPOs. Prize Distribution was also held after the meeting in which the BPMs , SPMs and Inspectors/ASP who achieve their targets during the last financial year has been awarded by Worthy SSPOs Sh.Bishan Singh, IPS.

In SB Category Sh.Gurcharan Dass SPM Banga got 1st prize, Sh.Sushil Kumar SPM Basti Guzan got 2nd and Ms. Sonika Postmaster Goraya got 3rd prize.

In RPLI Sh. Gopal Mohan  SPM Lasara got 1st prize, Sh.Hardeep Singh SPM Aur got 2nd prize and Sh.Balihar SPM Apra got 3rd prize.

In RPLI BPMs category Sh.Jatinder Kumar BPM Loharpartap pura got 1st prize.

In PLI F.O Category, Sh.Joginder Pal got 1st Prize, Sh.Harinder Kumar got 2nd Prize and Sh.Pritpal Postmaster Adampur AD got 3rd prize. 

In RPLI South Sub Division headed by Ms. Priyanka Sharma IP got 1st prize and Sh. Tejinder Pal Singh IP Nawanshsahr got 2nd prize
