NAPE C PUNJAB CIRCLE HELD AT
JALANDHAR ON 01.09.2017
Central Working Committee
meeting of National Association of Postal Employees Group C Punjab Circle was
held at Hotel City Classic Jalandhar City on 01-09-2017 under the president
ship of Circle President Saurabh Mittal. The main agenda of the meeting was to
discuss the problems being faced by postal employees due to shortage of staff,
MACP benchmark, infrastructure problems, cadre restructuring, and review of
union activities. The representatives of the association from all over Punjab
Circle attended the meeting. While addressing the members Saurabh Mittal told
that no new recruitment has been done in the Postal Department from last 3
years due to which the shortage is increasing day by day due to the regular and
voluntary retirement of the employees. He also said that department is adopting
new technologies but to implement these technologies sufficient staff and
proper infrastructure is not available. Saurabh Mittal also told that National Union
has formed new body in Ferozepur Division and now National Union of Gramin Dak
Sewaks is going to be formed in all divisions of Punjab Circle very shortly. Sh.Dharam
Pal Singh, Asst. Circle Secretary Punjab and Divisional Secretary, Jalandhar
Division welcomed all the CWC members at Jalandhar and while addressing the
meeting told that no recruitment has been made of sportsperson in Punjab Circle
for last 10 years and there is urgent requirement to fill the vacant posts. He
also told that efficient and honest services of postal staff during the time of
demonetisation should be appreciated. He also asks all the Divisional
Secretaries to take items regularly in their monthly meetings with Divisional
Heads for the welfare of staff.
All CWC members discussed
their problems facing in their respective postal divisions. Members also
discussed the problems being faced daily due to non availability of proper UPS
backup and old and obsolete computers and printers. Postal Staff has to work
for double or triple seats due to shortage of staff. Sh.Baljinder Singh, Circle
Secretary assured the members that their problems will be taken up with the
Circle Administration and if the solution will not be provided then will be
taken up at Directorate New Delhi. Sh.Anudeep Sharma, Divisional Secretary
National Union RMS told the members about new Projects of India Posts which are
coming and also ask them to adopt security measures regarding their passwords.
On this occasion Chandan Kalra Divisional President, Anudeep
Sharma, Harpal Maluka Bathinda, Harish Sharma Mohali, Pardeep Dhawan Manmohan Kapoor Ferozepur, ,
Kakshdeep Yogesh Thakur Phagwara, Gurmukh Singh Gurdaspur, Parneet Singh Patiala were also present.
