Biennial Divisional
Conference of National Association of Postal Employees Group C Jalandhar
Division is held today at Lions Club Jalandhar. Sh.Pargat Singh, M.L.A
Jalandhar Cantt was the chief guest on this occasion. The main agenda of the
conference is to discuss the problems being faced by Postal Employees regarding
shortage of staff, non working of UPS and Inverters and the upcoming technology
changes in the department. The Postal Department is heading towards Core
Banking but the employees are facing problem in the ground level. Large no. of
ladies employees also attended the conference. Circle Secretary Sh.Baljinder
Singh and Circle President Sh.Mohinder Singh address the staff and assured that
the problems will be brought to the notice of higher authorities of the
department. On this occasion the election of the office bearers of the
association for the next tenure 2014-2016 was also held. Sh.M.S.Walia was
elected as President, Sh.Dharam Pal Singh as Divisional Secretary and Sh.Ravi
Kant Sharma as Treasurer unanimously. Ex Circle Secretary Sh.Niranjan Singh and
Sh.Anudeep Sharma System Manager also address the staff. Divisional Secretaries
from Chandigarh Division, Bathinda Division, Hoshiarpur Division, Sangrur
Division, Amritsar Division, and RMS I Division Jalandhar also attended the
conference. The newly elected office bearers thanks to the members for electing
them once again for another tenure.
Sh.Dharam Pal Singh Divisional Secretary also said that a new Group
Health Insurance Scheme for the members will be launched shortly. Sh.Saurabh
Mittal holds the stage during the conference. Sh.Chandan Kalra, Sh.Gurvinder
Pal Kundi, Smt.Mahesh Kumari, Smt.Madhu Bala, Smt.Kailash Rani, Sh.Varun Sikri,
Sh.Bharat Kataria, Sh.Hem Raj, Sh.Hardeep Singh, Sh.Joga Singh Malhi, Sh.Hem
Raj, Sh.Yash Pal were also present on this occasion.
